When do we need mentoring?
Mentoring provides guidance to Coaches who either:
- undergo a coaching certification process, get coaching training
- move from peer coaching to client coaching in real situations
- start their coaching business
Moving along these milestones, Coaches benefit from the experience of Mentors who already went through the whole process and can accelerate the transition.
Mentoring is mainly aimed at supporting Coaches who start their journey in the coaching arena.

How different is it from supervision?
Supervision mostly focuses on:
- Coach self-development
- challenges faced during coaching
Business development for example will typically not be handled in supervision, though actively addressed through mentoring.
Supervisors, all being experienced Coaches can mentor.
Mentors may not have yet developed enough practice to act as Supervisors.
